With increasing carbon fuel prices, in near future the economic viability of non carbon fuels[Solar, Wind, Hydro and Hydrogen] will be a reality to live with!, so look here for some interesting developments that I read in other places in net. BTW, I am not at all connected with energy industry or do I endorse products that I blog about. I want to be a consumer of economically viable non carbon energy in near future!.

Energy from Spinach!
MIT's energy institute on power from Spinach!, I think they should call it the energy that powered Popeye[the sailor man] is now real :)
